What Really Keeps Churches Small

I’ve worked with hundreds of churches over the last few years.

Some large. Some small. Many somewhere in between.

In my travels I’ve learned what keeps many churches small.

It’s not theology.

It’s not financial resources.

Instead, I’ve noticed 3 factors in churches that keep growing (and the opposite in those who don’t):

1. A relentless commitment to reach out to those far from God

2. An ernest desire for leaders to keep learning new skills

3. An effective strategy for evangelism and discipleship

I’m not saying every church that does these things grows to 10,000 people, but growing churches are involved in each of these factors.

In our January Outreach Ninja coaching session, we’re going to be discussing how to use direct mail in a way that’s very cost effective and gets great results.

In my experience, direct mail is one of the best (if not THE best) ways to engage your community and see first time guests show up at the door of your church.

Here’s the best part, when you learn our “ninja” secrets for direct mail, you’ll be able to start doing direct mail for next to nothing compared to what more churches spend.

Outreach Ninja normally costs $97 a month, but you can test drive Outreach Ninja for only $49 for the first month.

Plus, you receive $700 in bonus resources (and other discounts) when you join.

It’s a no-brainer.

My Hands Down Favorite Outreach Tool

If I could only use one outreach tool to reach my community, I wouldn’t need more than a second to decide.

Which one is it?

Facebook? Nope.

Google? No.

Twitter or some new social media tool? No way!

It’s direct mail.

Hands down, it’s my favorite and IMHO most effective (and cost effective) way to let people know about your church.

Why?

Simple. Because everyone is still checking the mail.

I know what you’re thinking: “But the ‘experts’ say direct mail is really expensive.”

My answer: anything is expensive if you don’t know what you’re doing.

But if you know the ninja secrets, you can reach your community for nickels compared to what most churches spend.

Last Easter we had over 220 first time guests. That would cost a “normal” church a small fortune. However, we only spent $4,000 (and that included our printing costs)!

This isn’t just happening at Calvary (the church I pastor). It’s happening with many of our Outreach Ninja members who are applying what they’ve learned and seeing tremendous results.

Here’s what one Outreach Ninja member recently said about his experience as part of our monthly coaching:

“We had our highest attendance ever – 130 adults & 48 children. This was up from an average attendance of 38 adults and 8-10 children. We primarily used Word of Mouth and Direct Mail. All in all, we know that our marketing worked.” – Pastor Kenneth Sesley (Carson, CA)

In January we’re beginning our Easter training by talking about how to use direct mail bring your community to your church in droves.

You can test drive Outreach Ninja for only $49 for the next 30 days.

Plus, you get over $695 in FREE bonus resources just for joining.

Now is the time to learn the skills that will catapult your church to the next level.

How Less is Actually More with Facebook Ads

I worked with a church a while back that was spending tons of ‘moola’ on Facebook.

… and getting poor results.

Yikes!

They asked if I could consult with them and work some magic to make their ads more effective.

After assessing their situation, I told them that for churches, less is more on Facebook

Say what?

I told them that people search for a church closer to the weekend, so don’t start spending money until the weekend is near.

They did that and their ads started working better AND they were spending less in the process.

Then I went through my checklist of 14 strategies for making Facebook ads effective and that’s when their ads started taking off.

I recorded all 14 of my Facebook ad strategies in a resource called, “Digital Evangelism”.

This resource gives you the tools needed to create effective ads AND get super inexpensive pay per click rates.

With Digital Evangelism, not only will you receive…

…Close to 2 hours of training audios that will get you fully trained on how to master Facebook ads

…Plus a pile of bonus resources that contain ready to use ads

But this week we’re including 2 amazing bonuses:

The Cheap Way to Fill Your Church this Christmas

I had a Pastor email this last week and asked, “If you were on a shoestring budget and Christmas was 2 weeks away, how would you get the word out about your church?”

I responded with one word. Facebook.

I love Facebook ads.

Why?

Because it’s the cheapest way to drive traffic to your website and let people know about your services.

Think about it. Facebook lets you…

1. Pick who your want to market to
2. Set a maximum budget
3. Constantly tweak and change your ads
4. Create different ads for different people at no extra cost

And that isn’t even the half of it!

Yet I giveth thee a word of warning…

Facebook can be very expensive if you don’t know what you’re doing.

But if you have the training, Facebook can be like finding high end merchandise at Walmart prices.

Our Digital Evangelism resource gives you the tools needed to create effective ads AND make Facebook “cry uncle” with super inexpensive pay per click rates.

With Digital Evangelism, not only will you receive…

…Close to 2 hours of training audios that will get you fully trained on how to master Facebook ads

…Plus a pile of bonus resources that contain ready to use ads

But this week we’re including 2 amazing bonuses:
