Sunday Stuff…

- Great day at Calvary.

- I didn’t teach (yes, that’s 3 weeks in a row for those keeping score at home).

- Pastor John taught a fantastic message out of Romans 9.

- It’s a tough passage to teach and John did a great job. I’m very proud of him and the teach he’s become.

- I attended our 11:30 service with my family. It was nice to show up all together and just enjoy a service.

- Our great friends John and Tania gave a brief testimony at our services today about their work in the Middle East.

- It was great to spend the afternoon with them.

- My assistant has been out of town on a missions’ trip all week. I can’t wait for her to get back. I’m drowning in work :)

- I think Pastors need to strategically take time off. I’ll talk about that on the blog this week.

- I’m hoping to recommend some books this week on the blog. I hope the review are helpful.

Free Report on Increasing Baptisms

I recently wrote a special report on increasing baptisms in your church that’s been getting lots of interest. So I thought I’d offer it here.

You can request a FREE copy here.

Enjoy!

Act Like You’re Leaving Town Tomorrow

Have you ever noticed that the last day you’re in the office before going on vacation, you accomplish a tremendous amount? We tend to work faster, delegate tasks, use technology to our advantage, and empower others to follow through on certain things.

It was Zig Zigler who said, “Why not work everyday as though you’re going out of town the next day? You’ll get twice as much done!”

What would happen if we took this advice everyday we were in the office? We’d be much more productive and effective.

If you’re looking for a resource that can radically improve your productivity, check out our resource “The Productive Leader” by clicking here.

Write with a Bias Towards Action

I recently got a church direct mail piece delivered to my office. . It said the name of the church, the service times, the directions and the phone number. There was only one thing missing: they never asked me to attend.

Sometimes we expect the people who get what we send to them to decipher what we send to them. If you’re going to take the time to buy a billboard, do direct mail, or get the church to invite friends using invite cards – tell the recipient exactly what you want to them to do.

Do you want to them to attend your service, visit your website, or call your church? Whatever you want to them to do, make sure you clearly explain what you want them to do. If not, people will automatically say no.  Because the old adage is true: People say no to what’s unclear.

We’re going to talk about effective copywriting in our Outreach Ninja program. You can grab one of our charter membership here.
